Nice I live in cannock and we often have meets up the chase not even thought about this place, where did you park and did you have any drone police bother you…cheers
Hi Garry im a member of the blackfords fishing club but lots of people walk around the place. iv never had any problems with people and me flying. There is however a altitude limit from cosford right next to it
o and theres parking at the lake you follow the lane from a5 down to it
@Ste313 I was secretary of Blackfords WMC for about 6 years, will have to give it a go looks impressive must have drove past 100’s times,
Mate, don’t worry about drone police - if your registered, licensed, insured and flying carefully don’t give some wise-guy a second thought. In the rare event of some random opening their mouth, either play deaf or if they are insistent on mouthing off tell them to **** off. You will find more people are interested, stop & watch and sometimes ask questions - then you can be Mr Positive and engage, but always letting them know you know what your doing. Oddly enough I find fishermen have an attitude so keep well away from them with the quad is the best bet to avoid a confrontation.
I don’t worry about drone police at all - this thread is about this reservoir in question and I know it is controlled by fishing clubs the fishermen are entitled to carry out there pastime without our intrusion and justifiably so, they have paid for a relaxing day fishing and we should respect that, maybe I should of said caretaker / landowner not drone police.
Wow, great location! A nice high shot looking down on that road would awesome, maybe even a timelapse. Great waterways too good job
nice one McSteamy! ye that would be sweet… is it ok to be flying above main roads? iv read up on rules but it does say dont fly over built up areas and away from people if under 50 m?
