Hi,
I’m sure I know the answer to this but thought I’d ask anyway. I was really looking forward to flying my drone (mini pro 3) over some of the Normandy beaches. I’ve looked back in April and yes, there are areas you can’t but quite a lot where you can. Just checked again as I’m heading off there tomorrow and now this! A temporary Flight Restriction Zone from 24/06/01 00:00 C) TO: 25/05/31 23:59. The NOTAM ID is LFFA/R1416/24.
I’m guessing I’m stuffed and may as well not bring the drone?
Cheers,
Ian

A 1 year duration isn’t very temporary.

So, I very much doubt that whatever they are doing is 24/7.
Were it me, and for the size, and weight, of a drone, I’d still take my drone and see if any French drone pilots are flying when I get there, and ask their opinion/advice/interpretation.
Are these the immigrant hunters ?

Not impossible, I guess. But that’s one very scary long distance crossing in ideal conditions. From that aspect I rather doubt it.
And, were it for that reason, I’d expect a chain of them all along the coast.
Up nearer the Straits of Dover … almost definite.
Yep, sounds like a good idea. Thanks
