Hi fellow members. I purchased a DJI mini 4 pro recently but haven’t been able to make my first flight yet. Unfortunately I live in Yateley Hampshire between Farnborough and Blackbushe airports so have wide airspace restrictions around me. The nearest location I could find to me was Priory Fields, Warfield, Bracknell and I had to apply for permission from Bracknell Forest Council, which they granted after receiving my flyers, operator and insurance details. The permission is for Sundays only between 12 - 4pm which is not ideal, especially during the school break. I would be grateful if any members could advise of any large open areas close to me where I would be left alone to make all of my initial first flying mistakes in private?

Elvetham Heath would seem a pretty good bet. There is a NOTAM today because of gliding comp, but it’s near by and you would be able to fly in peace! I used to live at Odiham, by the canal not far from King John’s old hunting lodge. There would be scope for flying around the area, Winchfield as well has a nice secluded canal path and heathland area.
Many thanks for the info Nikonitis, I will certainly give it a try. I see that there is a nature reserve there. Is there any restrictions because of it?

As @PingSpike has suggested, have a look at Dronescene for any issues, but as for the areas I’ve suggested you should be fine, particularly Elvetham heath. It’s a relatively small open space, but it is local to you

I’ve got a DJI Mini 3 and a few fpv quads that I’ve built but never actually flown, ignoring the first attempt that ended in a puddle and a rebuild😂
Have you found anywhere to fly yet? I’ve found Hawley Farm Country Park and also the recreational grounds across the road which look to both be just outside the Farnborough and Blackbushe zones.
I will be conformal coating my quads then giving those an early morning try out next week hopefully. Been caught it with wet grass in the mornings before so not taking any risks.
