Well, here is a flight of flying between gaps in two towers. Here is a bit of information on these towers built in Leeds many years ago.
Cottingley Towers & Cottingley Heights are twin high-rise towers of rented accommodation on top of a hill in Cottingley, Leeds West Yorkshire.
Cottingley Towers & Cottingley Heights were previously the tallest residential buildings in Leeds, with 25 floors each.
The towers are 72 metres (236 ft) tall but are not classed as skyscrapers. They were built between 1971-2 and were refurbished in 1989.
The towers were once heralded as the tallest residential buildings in Europe. Much has been done to address crime in the area and levels of crime have subsided notably over the past 10 years. When built, it was decided not to put a flat number 13 in either block as some regard 13 to be unlucky, and this was also the first time buildings of this design had been constructed. The Towers and Heights fall within the Beeston and Holbeck ward of the Leeds City Council.
I swear that the 911 accident is haunting me, first I see a video on the aircraft by accident, then I see memes on it, then my friends start peppering me with the memes and then a mechanics server I’m on gets a load of mechanics talking about the incident and now I see this post
They are nice looking flats, shame to have a bad name. As say, my brother now lives in one of the towers and been round a few times to help him do it up.
There are quite a lot of tenants in the flats that do a lot of community work in the Cottingley area helping to run breakfast and lunch days in local community Centre. So from years gone by, the tenants are getting better and better and there is just a hand full of same old idiots but you get that everywhere.
