Cameras tend to get two things wrong in snowy conditions: (a) they tend to underexpose, so you should set manual exposure using the histogram display; and (b) they sometimes go off with the white balance, so you should fix it to something stable before you fly and be prepared to correct afterwards. Also images taken in these conditions often need quite careful post processing to remove haze and restore some sharpness to the ice and snow.
