So are they more pissed off about the alcohol or the no fly zone he was in?

“The 55-year-old man was found guilty in July of flying the device at a classic car event in Rättvik, a town in Dalarna, central Sweden, in a temporary no-fly zone.”

More pissed off about the alcohol, I’d say. He’s been in court for the drunk flying offence, not for flying in a temporarily restricted zone. I’m assuming that the local police brought the charges, not the Swedish CAA.

If the Swedish rules are like ours, he committed 2 further offences on top of the drunk flying one; he has flown in a restricted area without authorisation, and flown over a crowd, both offences having been apparently ignored.

Not necessarily over a crowd. Might have been a shit car meet where 3 people turned up

Yeah, fair enough. He could also have had the consideration to stand off to the side of a crowdeed area in the interests of safety. But I would expect a number of people that I would regard as a crowd, confined in specific areas away from moving vehicles, and not easily able to dodge a falling drone. If this was the case and the Swedish rules are like ours, he was very probably flying over a crowd

That’s an excellent mantra for life in general
