First reluctant Post here , and first flight with the Mini 4 Pro
Footage Above Llangollen North Wales ( First flight Mini 4 Pro ) Music Celtic Worship
Hope you like it, I sure enjoyed filming it , next time , I shall try to get better quality filming in 4 k
But hey I’m new to all these new fangled drones
It’s far better to upload to YouTube/Vimeo, and post the link here … because it can be seen without having to leave the GADC page.
It does the same at you tube as it does at vimeo , ive seen others videos , so It cant be rocket science , thanks OzoneVibe
Neither is posting a YouTube/Vimeo link here rocket science … but at least the video can be viewed here without having to go to another site.
… not quite true - I just clicked on the link and went straight into an advert - so closed it down as I’m not wasting phone data watching an advert I have no interest in. Using YT/Vimeo as suggested by Dave @OzoneVibe doesn’t involve adverts normally - just saying
Twice i tried the chain lnk to link the video , I have been uplading vids on different video platforms for ages , oh years on you tube and some sites I cant even rember lol !
This site asks for the URL and optional description , I cant your site out on how to link a video , I’ll just stick to you tube and not post nothing here ,thats better for me unless someone has a thread explaining how to do it here , maybe somebody does have an explanitory post ?
Yea if you know what to do on this website THEN its easy , if you dont know how then it’s not easy .
I dont have that problem I use adblockers ,thanks for looking anyway I’ll keep my posts at you tube cos I have no idea how to post here
You post the URL … on its own line.
You posted the URL for that other site, so there’s no difference.
All you have to do to post a YT/Vimeo video is to copy the URL at the top of your browser and paste into your GADC post making sure it’s on a separate line. It will then automatically generate a preview window and allow all members to watch your video within the forum. You’ll get a lot more views this way.
You may like to have a look at this post and share your YT channel which will almost certainly increase your subscriber count …
trying that out , thanks …OHH Yea I see the preview , thanks for all your help Jhdee ! I really appreciate that and it saves my playing with all the other buttons !! Thanks Again from my humble little bungalow , this one was shot by mini 3 pro . I sent that back because it didnt have waypoints , and good obstacle detection … I would like to fly it by waypoints to various places and routes m but I am still trying to work that out
God bless you and thank you , have a wonderful day !
You have made mine thanks !
Glad to be of help
I am grateful and glad to have recieved that help from you Jjdee
Blessings always be yours . Happy flights
Hi @David777 ,
Just wanted to throw my tuppeny worth in as a fellow also new to the scene, but without it being another comment about your video platform of choice.
I thought the scenery is absolutely beautiful, and always have done. But seeing the landscape from a great height makes the whole scale of it all immense. Also, I have to admit that the hymn you chose as the background music is one of my favourite too, which was also a plus.
As far as the video goes though, without wanting to sound harsh, I felt a little dizzy at times! It was a little bit like the view was so amazing, it was difficult for you to decide where to cast your gaze.
When the drone first ascended to a great height, and gave an overview of the surrounding countryside it was lovely, but then it just kept on spinning, while the gimbal was being tilted up and down sporadically. I found myself longing to go and explore more closely, but it never really happened if I’m honest.
If you had simply picked a line to follow and lazily followed it, letting me take in all that beauty at my own pace, you would have had me hook, line, and sinker! This is not me speaking as some sort of expert, because I’m most definitely not, but just someone who so desperately wanted to admire the view.
I hope that is received with the same heart it was given, and I look forward to your sharing more videos in the future.
Cheers,
Hey and Hi Drone Lumpy , pleased to meet you ,yea this is all very brand new to me, here was first flight with Mini 4 , and on Mini 3 which I sent back , ha ! i didnt even venture it outside of the bounds of where I live !
So the two flights I have got on here where straight up , and back down again flights . I will get more adventurous as time goes my ,and yea sorry about the wizzing head view, I should have sent it down to the River Dee below, it really is worth the view round here for sure!
I live in Acrefair near Llangollen so there is loads to film round here ,and pleanty of flying places the big Aquaduct , one day I’ll pop and film that .
Yea really I didnt have much idea what I was doing , im suprised it returned to me, and I dont have a huge income to warrant buying another one ,so I must look after this one.
I did have and have still got an Inspire V1 ,which I havent used in ages , because the gimbal wont point forward when calibrating it ,that was a fun drone too and I can still fly it as a toy thing , but its not wanting to cenre the gimbal.
This could be because of the houses built across from me and the massive ammounts of steel in the footings , so one day Ill try that bird up out the way of any metal too.
Yea glad you liked the hymn too,a definite favourite of mine too
God bless you DroneLumpy and happy flights bro . Yes recieved with the same heart that commented with ,absolutely !
I’d say that’s a pretty good vid for a first attempt, David, not that you can go too far wrong with scenery like that on a clear sunny day! Plenty of tutorials about filming technique, and I’m still not far off the bottom of the learning curve myself. I’ve found that keeping the drone in motion and using the zoom gently gives a more natural feel to the video, and am in the process of practicing smooth transitions of speed and direction, as well as zoom, gimbal raising/lowering, and drone heading. That’s a lot of balls to keep in the air, and then on top of that you may have to alter camera settings, oh, and keep an eye on the drone as well. I’ve got a long way to go yet to become good at it, but since I’ve taken it up I’ve noticed professional drone shots on tv much more and have been studying the techniques!
This is, I think, why it is so relaxing, unintuitive as that might seem. Because you have to concentrate completely and absolutely on the job in hand, your normal life’s worries and distractions are banished, and you can achieve a kind of calm through it.
Happy landings!
Hi David, I find I try and work out a story I want to tell with the video, a reveal is a good start it leads the viewer in and sets the scene. Capture footage for the scenes within the video, they don’t have to be continious and use transitions to merge the scenes. I keep most of my video’s to a couple of minutes and appropriate music makes a massive difference. I use DaVinci Resolve, free edition for my editing and it’s excellent.
LOL thank you , your right it a learning curve ,and im right at the bottom of it ,but gotta start somewhere , I didnt know you could zoomthe camera when in the air (thanks for that ! ) I don’t think I’ll ever be a pro at this , because I’m not THAT much into flying drones, for me I want to set them all to gospel music in nice places in God’s creation .
Not really into filming much else with it, and I dont watch TV , I just have my PC wired to a 60 inch TV and thats all i use it for ,and watching world news as it relates to bible prophecy and eschatology . you tubes etc .
That is what I like doing with it and thats what I bought it for to show His Glorious creation, I’ll never be able to do it better than He made it
No worries that I can think of other than the struggles we all have
I have a perfect calm, I can only ever get that from God who gives it .
And the peace of God, which passeth all understanding, shall keep your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus.

God bless you Johnster and happy flights and thanks again David
Hi Typhoon Class thanks for the tips on how you do things , always appreciate them , I can to transitions in the normal windows media player , but free software is always good too
I’ll have a look at some vids on Da Vinci resolve and check it out thanks and God Bless you with many happy safe flights
David
