Love Sardinia - been several times.

:+1:

Our first time - although we’ve been to Sicily and various parts of the mainland and I’ve been to Milan many times for work.

We tend not to go to the same place twice - on the basis that there’s an awful lot of places we still haven’t been to - but I can see us doing the South of the Island at some point.

Aside from skiing holidays, ditto. The “several” times for Sardinia have been to attend an event there … the Italian round of the World Rally Championships - which could have me back again some time in the next couple of years. Usually added about a week of “touristing” around the actual event.

Sicily I also loved in the ten days I spent there.

Totally love everything about the country, really, and a lottery win would see me living there full time from the following day.

Been to Italy many times over the years, but had a 3 month camping “excursion” around the country in '17 (including WRC in Sardinia, again) and managed to tick off the few remaining of Italy’s 20 regions I’d not previously visited.

Cool. Off the top of my head, I’ve done Rome 3 times, northern Tuscany once (although we covered off three other regions on that trip - including pilgrimages to Modena and Maranello and the tractor factory in Bologna), Florence twice, Lake Como once, Lake Garda once, Sicily once (including staying in Inspector Montalbano’s house), Bergamo three times (once as a base for the Italian GP), Turin twice and Milan maybe a dozen times - and now north eastern Sardinia. Lots of gaps to fill! Puglia’s next on the list.

Like you, I’d happily move there given the chance.

THAT is where I’d live - a glorious little place called Giovinazzo. :+1:

My unpublished novel* is set in Puglia, among other places.

*It’s unwritten, too - but that makes it sound like it’s entirely my fault that it’s unpublished.
