Here is some photo’s i took with my mini 4 pro, of the forth rail bridge, just outside edinburgh.
Great images of the bridge which looks impresive day or night
yeah very impresive structure, i think they should use the road bridge for normal traffic aswell not just buses. It was very cold that night, cars around the area had frozen windscreens at that was only a 8pm, when travelling home i got to -4 which was not to bad.
The old road bridge had structural issues and it was thought it would close completely, hense the new Queens crossing. They managed to mitigate some of the issues while the new crossing was being built but it still has a volume/ weight restriction. This is why it is bus/ Taxi only. This also keeps some traffic OFF of the new bridge. Now of course we pay the upkeep on both
BTW fun fact. . . . Brand new multi multi million pound Queens crossing, cutting edge construction built in Scotland fancy suspended (Sail) design, which got shut down in the first ? winter due to ice build up on the fancy sails which was breaking off in huge chunks and exploding on the road below
Imagine capturing the ice build up breaking off by a drone flying past, that would be cool
