Some of you may have noticed that, alongside your avatar, you can have an additional image. This image means that you belong to a group.

As I understand it, messages can be sent within your chosen group. Sort of like a group whatsapp.
If anyone, at all, has any ideas of how to expand this idea, reply to this thread.
Sort of, but not quite 
You can notify all members of a group by using @groupname much like we would a single person eg @notveryprettyboy - And all members of the group will get notified.
A useful example of this might be: I could make a normal post about new Evo firmware being release and just tag @group-evo and it will notify all members of that group and draw their attention to my post.
Still looking for other useful uses 
I think that’s useful though, especially as the site is growing, to draw attention to something specific.
I’m sure at some point it would be impossible to read every new or unread post…
But maybe it should…

Would it be a good idea to have regional groups also? Like “Coventy” or “South west” to aid meetups.
I’d probably base it on the same regions we use on Drone Scene.
We’d have about a thousand groups if we went to smaller geographical areas than that
