Four Cruise Ships Arriving in Southampton

Cruise Ships Arriving in Southampton on a wet and windy day. Unfortunately the Venture and Celebrity Apex arrived in the cover of darkness at 4.30am. However, we did mange to capture the Sky Princess and Iona.

I’ve searched another couple of apps out some during downtime and they’re both ship identification aids. I’m looking forward at getting myself back to Felixstowe to have a buzz around some of our largest container ships.

Good luck and I hope it goes well. I’m lucky on the south coast to have so many ports and options. :+1:

Thank you. Yes, I suppose you’re in about the busiest UK spot. I get heaps of rural areas and estuaries which is my real bag.

I think Southampton is one of the busiest in Europe. I’m leaving home in 30 minutes to film this little beauty leave at 5 pm. (QM2)

Not a million miles off

I guessed Barcelona/Palma, after seeing the queues of them there

I captured a Greek navy support ship and frigate arrive in about an hour ago. :slightly_smiling_face:

How windy was it?

I was down at Calshot and it was starting to get a bit spicy. The cross wind heading east was starting to pick up but still flyable.

I am seeing a lot of orange boats there lol (Quote challenge)

Just about flyable and then big gust made it tense. Got some shots but not the ones I wanted. A little disappointed.

I was there last night, it appeared the entire worlds population of seagulls were also there. It doesn’t help with the boat show pontoons being out and the twats that feed them ice cream cones.

I hate seagulls, seems to be a lot more aggressive this year. I stopped flying last month in Bognor because there were to many attacking the drone.
