FRZ and DJI geofencing

Hello
I have permission to fly in an FRZ for a film I’m making … am I correct in thinking that even though this is a military air base all DJI geo fencing now has been lifted and I will not need to apply to the fly safe website ?

Many thx

Yes as long as the fly safe database has been updated to the latest version

Many thx

It might pop a “Do you know your flying in an Enhance Restriction area” message on the screen. Once you acknowledge that, you are good to go

Hey thank you

@stokeysam what film are you working on? Is it for yourself or directed by someone else?

It’s for Channel 4 and I’ve been on it for 8 months … just hadn’t believed the non geo fence world would extend to FRZ and military Bases … so everyday a school day deffo

What drone/camera are you using for it?

I’ll be using a Mav3 pro and an inspire 2 for the filming …

This is the case for the UK, but not for some countries in the EU. I was locked out 3 times in Malta despite having been authorised to fly in the FRZ by Tm-cad. Unfortunately, I was unable to unlock the damn thing in the short time I had and couldn’t get a signal on my phone to use as a hotspot for my RC2. :face_exhaling:
