Fun and Friendly Edit Challenge - CLOSED

The aim of this challenge is to help improve our editing skills, and give us something to do during the quieter drone flying months. There are no prizes other than getting to submit a picture of your choice if you are good enough to win the poll.

@Drumsagard please dig out a photo for us and post a link using WeTransfer
As soon as John has posted the link you can all go ahead and download his chosen pic, and then get busy with your edits.

The Rules, Please Read as they have changed slightly
Use the link below to download the photo provided. Then get editing with any software you choose.
Objects may be removed but nothing added. This means adding anything into the picture that was not there in the first place, swapping skies etc.
You may post edits with added objects, but they will not be considered for the poll
Create and post as many edits you like, but please tell us which one is your entry by clearly marking it “My Entry” on the top line of your post. Failure to do so may result in your edit not being included in the poll
Entries can be submitted until 7pm on Sunday 8th October.
Entries open as soon as John submits his picture.
After entries are closed, a poll shall be opened for all forum members to vote on up to three of their favourite edits. The winner will then get the honour of supplying a picture of their choice for the next round.

Here you go guys, Kilchurn Castle on a rare cloudless day in Scotland, have fun! - WeTransfer - Send Large Files & Share Photos Online - Up to 2GB Free

I’m only getting a small thumbnail, no large image :frowning:

1024 x 767 pixels, do you have the 4k image from your drone?

Sorry for the late reply guys, been out shooting a wedding all day. Just checked the We Transfer link and it’s working fine, it’s a 78.4MB DNG file.

Strange, if I use Faststone to preview it opens it up as a thumbnail too. But open in lightroom or photoshop and it is fine?

That’s strange. I just checked the properties and it’s showing as a 1024 x 767 96dpi file, yet it’s a 78.4 DNG :man_shrugging:. I’ll try uploading another version of it, just shortly.

you can try a direct upload to here @Drumsagard

If it’s any consolation mines ok.

I’m still just getting a 256x192 image…and it’s upside down :frowning:

Yeah I just checked the file again and it’s fine, definitely a full sized raw DNG, all my others are the same full raw DNG’s.

Can you try posting it here as a jpg ?

I was going to post it straight back in no edits

Stunning picture !

It’s a raw DNG, I don’t have a jpeg. I can create a jpeg, but kind of defeats the purpose of editing a raw file.

Can you post a pic so I know at least someone can edit it :grinning: :+1: (I’m not planning on posting one as it’s my image).

Ok no probs one sec, just got to open up the laptop :+1:t2:

NOT AN ENTRY JUST TESTING
DNG converted to PNG

That works
