It’s a tad over 30 seconds! :slightly_smiling_face:

Thank you for pointing that out John and you are correct, clips should be no more than 30seconds long.

In this example everything we needed to see was within the first 15seconds and I watched no more hence points awarded.

For the purpose of the rules and nitpicking, Could @TonyDM Please submit the First 30seconds again in a new post for us. Your points will not be affected.

Many Thanks

What is the penalty for putting more then two entry’s in per day?

asking for a friend

@Acedrone Jason, If this is the case then their third entry would not be counted and they would be reminded of the rules… if however your friend thinks a question is an entry then please send him/her our way for a formal beating. :boxing_glove:

Thanks

  1. Isolated Church/Chapel
  • Bonus point for having no other buildings within 100M :white_check_mark:
  • Bonus point for adding to Drone Scene and posting a link with your entry :white_check_mark:

Brendon Methodist Church, Raleigh’s Cross, Devon - nearest buildings around 295m - furthest distance in photo about 100m to the front.

I claim 3 points.

Quick question - can dronescene items be added before you post the entry, or does it need to be posted on the same day?

The photo must be taken while the competition is open. August 17 to September 30. Your Drone Scene entry must obviously also be within that timescale. You may, if you can perceive an advantage in doing so, delay posting your picture until a time convenient to you.

I claim 3 points.

Although this is NT land, you can fly from the south (just outside) and see Dunkery Hill. Dunkery Beacon the very top and is 1,705 feet (520 m) - as I went up and down I stayed outside anyway.

There seems to have been a rush on highest points today. At 636m ASL, Kinder Scout is the highest point in Derbyshire. Dull as ditch-water and windy as fek. The little Mini was not happy.

+1 for 360
+1 for Drone Scene entry:

To earn the point a Drone Scene marker and description must be placed on the map shortly after your flight. The place to which it relates must be at least 1 kilometre measured on the Drone Scene map from any prior entry.

Sorry Chris, someone got there before you. We know who it was, one of our confidential informants. So no Drone Scene bonus this time. Because the leaderboard was updated before your picture was posted the three points will show on your total tomorrow evening.

Good Evening
Just wondering if the computer adding the scores is worn out,Was expecting 6 point from last 2 submission instead of 5 received. Not aware of bonus points not being awarded for the last items. Do you still notify if bonus point are disallowed for any reason?.
Thanks
John

You are correct (writes an independent adjudicator) Your Drone Scene bonus for the solar farm was missed. This has now been rectified and will show on tomorrow evening’s leaderboard

The mistake may have occurred because your points claims are spread throughput the post. Climp them together like:

I claim 4 bonus points for:

  • Remaining in military use after 1950 - Royal artillery to 1956
  • Repurposed original building - Ammunition store used for council storage
  • Drone Scene entry
  • Scheduled monument. Link to Historic England

5 points in total

and the poor, overworked scorer will thank you!
