GADC 4th Birthday Challenge

Oooo that looks like a drone image too…

Claiming bonus points for

  • 10 or more red Royal Mail vehicles
  • 5 or more Postmen/women are outside

Filmed at the Royal Mail Derby depot around 6.45am this morning. Over the course of 10 minutes there must have been at least 20 individual employees present but generally not in the yard at the same time. However, the wording of the challenge just says “outside”. I realise that No.5 is in a van and therefore contentious, but 7,8 and 9, despite being outside the gates, are under the corner of the building and therefore, I would suggest, on Royal Mail property. Even though the words don’t specify exactly where “outside” the Postpeople should be.

Just trying to pre-empt any queries, having been a previous agitator.

It’s certainly nothing like the single track roads we have in Scotland

Love the music, Jez

I’ve got so many car park fails it’s hilarious. Went to BMW hams hall plant today. There were 8 cars! :joy: on the plus side. 4 were blue! :joy:

Will have to post some of them in a ‘birthday fails’ thread or something when we’re done.

Item 25: Something interesting in an FRZ
All Saints Church, Crudwell, Wiltshire
Taken on Mini 2 this morning

After gaining written permission to fly in the Cotswold Airport FRZ, I filmed the 1,000 year old ‘All Saints Church’ in Crudwell, Wiltshire. The church dates back to the Saxon age and is referenced in the Domesday Book in 1086. It is not only a beautiful church with lovely surroundings, but it is also one of only two churches left in the whole of England to boast the Seven Sacrements stain glass windows. This example is unusually in near perfect condition. The church is Grade 1 listed and was fully restored 8 years ago. During the restoration, they found a stone carving of a face, believed to be 900 years old, which hadn’t aged a single day.

TOAL was 90m North of the church, inside the FRZ, in the field above the cemetery. I kept my flight below 60m at all times.

I would like to claim a total of 4 points please:

  • accompanied by documentation showing permission to fly in the FRZ :white_check_mark:
  • Tell us why it’s interesting :white_check_mark:
  • Bonus point for adding to Drone Scene and posting a link with your entry :white_check_mark:

Please you clarify ‘in motion’? I would like to know if the crane jib, boom and/or winch going up | down | left | right is acceptable? Thanks.

Thanks for your query Chris. The ‘in motion’ bonus point refers to the crane being driven and in motion which also relates to some of the other bonuses for that particular subject i.e. ‘being escorted’ Hopefully this clears it up for you
