Here is my submission!
I went slow - next time, I will go with powaaaaaaaa (and bring the tools to recover the quad from the trees, as they will catch my quad with their usual mischief!).
Flown low and under the canopy to add some challenge - no strong yaw move - all in throttle control!
Sunday 5th October
Location: South London
Done with the DeepOne v2 Drone FPV custom built (O4 / 5" / 6S / Apex DeadCat)
Acro is life!
And the music had to be linked to the theme - if you liked the sounds, pay a visit to the Underworld ā8 ballā.
to all FPV / acro pilots here, if you are not confident, you donāt need speed, turning with simple yaw is ok⦠as you go a little faster, add slowly some roll into the yaw turns⦠you ll get it
I didāt think I would get back to being able to submit a second attempt at this challenge but as they say - practice makes perfect - and well the bug has bitten and I did go back to give it another go.
Please can someone edit my previous post as this really is my submission - final one at that ( for real )
This is my entry

Drone - DJI Avata ( the OG Avata )
Location - Moria - Derbyshire
Way smoother and faster than the previous submission
Maybe something for you all to have a think about before the next challenge goes up,
Is 4 weeks too long ? Not long enough ?
Thought id ask as now the days are getting shorter / nights are darker & many have commitments & that they may not be able to enter the challenge as easy as supposed to the longer days before etc ,
⢠Keep it as is ?
⢠Every 2 weeks or 3 weeks ?
⢠Or longer ?
Iāll let you guys decide Iām happy either way thanks !
Im gonna try get my vid done shortly ive just got my own venue so been really buay with that but managed to do my raceGOW last night.
Drone mjght again on monday so ill get it sorted then.
I think the time frame is fine.
Only thing is, that it always starts in one month & ends in another so it would then not be monthly would it
Also taking into account then a poll has to be set up for voting then the new challenge created which takes time, even if you started at the beginning of a month youād still end up running into the following month unless it was cut short within the month to allow time for poll votes & setting up of new challenge for it then be possible to start at the beginning of each month which I would then say,
Otherwise itās not a calendar month ? Or did you mean different ?
Even iām now confused !
Either way am happy to change the title moving forward for what you guys would prefer - even if the months do overlap ( Slightly )
my 2p on this ----
This was my first challenge I have done ( hope to do more as I really enjoyed this ) and the factors that helped me do it was the length to do the challenge in. Due to the great British weather ( and now the shorter daylight ) having a few weeks to get it done in helped loads. I doubt I would have even given it a thought if it had been one or two week thing.
Its my hope that others, that have thought about doing such a challenge, will just give it ago and support the efforts that people put into their submissions and setting out the pollās etc for the calculation of the results at the end.
I think fair to say leave as is time wise then, 28 days, 4 weeks a month call it what you will seems like a good reasonable time frame that no one has had problems with so far ā¦. So weāll leave as is ā if it aināt broke donāt try & fix it I guess ā
Purely because I need all the practice that I can get!
I still canāt avoid even the smallest object in a massive field yetā¦
But my neo does indeed bounce well.
hehe watched this like 3 times and each time I have a little ādink!ā sound go off in my head when it hits that post - I am sure it made the most perfect ping sound haha
Hope the Neo was fine after that - I am sure it was - little tank of a thing.
I just heard ās@**ā . Was expecting to have to try and retrieve it using my crutches for the first time on grass.
But it had landed the right way up, and completely undamaged.
Iām thinking of using one of the posts and myself in my chair 10 metres away, and hope I donāt crash.

You might need a bit more distance as I donāt know if the motion controller can get you in tight enough to the posts and to loop back for the other one.
If you look at this post above - Fig 8 the distance between the two treeās I used is around 30m ! and that was as close as I could realistically get or as tight as a figure of 8 I could get on an Avata - I am sure the more experienced guys can get this in mega tight but that will take some control and practice.
Start wide and then close in on it. After a while it you will get the flow right and it gets easier.
