View from about 200’ looking eastwards along the old A75 Stranraer road. Gatehouse of Fleet was bypassed in 1986 and it’s hard to believe arctics rolled almost constantly along this narrow road on their journeys to and from Ireland. You maybe able to spot the Clock Tower standing 55’ tall, built in 1871, on the right hand side near the top of the road and, on the left, the Parish Church, 1817, with its tower added in 1890.
