Glare on my iPhone 11 Max

Hi : wonder if anybody can help me .
Had a very short spell today with my Mavic Air local
Park ( doing my CofC cert at present ) Sunny day but couldn’t see a thing on my DJI Go 4 app on my iPhone due to sun glare . Kept the drone at VLOS so no problem there… is there a way to cut sun :sunny: glare on my iPhone :iphone:?? Or there another way like having mini iPad Ect.

Cheers. Steve .

I’ve moved your post to the #questions-and-answers category.

Some people use matt screen protectors (eg. brotect), others use hoods or covers that provide some shade.

Others simply use devices with higher nits (brightness) ratings

Try a few searches on the forum here, various solutions have been discussed on more than one occasion.

FYI, I think the iPhone 11 can only run at 800 nits for any period of time.

Some devices claim higher nits (eg. Samsung) but can only run at those higher outputs for a very short amount of time, ie. several minutes, before dropping back down again.

The Smart Controller is 1000nits all day long, same as the high-brightness CrystalSky.

The CrystalSky Ultra is 2000nits, you can literally wear sun glasses while flying and still see it perfectly.

The only other real contender recently is the Tripltek tablet at 1200nits.

… and be “BVLOS”.

Wow. I didn’t know it was 2000nits.
That’s why you have to wear sunglasses :sunglasses:
Lol

Is the smart controller ok with the Mavic Air Drone ?

No…

Compatible with the Mavic Air 2, Mavic 2 Zoom, Mavic 2 Pro and Mavic 2 Enterprise Series, Phantom 4 Pro V2.0.

Oh that a shame :joy:
But what about the Crystal sky ultra ? For
Mavic Air ?

I don’t actually know
