Does anyone know if there are special no-fly zones over the Pilton area this week? I’d love to get some aerial shots of the festival but don’t know what the situation is.
Thanks,

As Steve mentions above, a Restricted Area has been put in place:

A quick search online and it’s posted everywhere including the festival site, UAVs are not allowed, I think I read somewhere else they may use a scanner to track the drones identification.
Drove past the site last night.
Cameras everywhere - there are many on cherry pickers at full height.
I reckon you will be spotted quickly.
Not to mention the police on the roads around the site.
Less security at Gatwick!
The police will be running AeroScope on site to hunt and catch all the DJI owners
Better take the yuneec then.
Not sure how a 1912 camera might help - but if everyone stands still for long enough…
Found this:
The AeroScope system does have issues detecting older model drones manufactured before 2014. This is due to the one way transmission system in the older drones. Both Phantom 1 and 2 and few other models cannot be detected by Aeroscope.
Oh…
We come from the area and you cant even get the rotors to spin up in that zone, the Chief commissioner gave us 2 cords, outside the zone to fly from but you cant see much to be honest
If DJI is your thing, Drone-Hacks is what you need ;o)
I can only for once hope this is a real opportunity to expose those individuals hell bent on breaking the rules enough, just to get their 5 mins of fame. Will the person get the flogging they deserve? Or be protected from general society to just become another statistic against drones
ahhh it was taken by the Critical care team in the Air Ambulance, but i thought it was cool and it would of looked like this if you could fly.
