Grace Dieu priory - Added to Historic Buildings in East Midlands

I have just added this to the map of places to fly your drone at Drone Scene:

Land owner permission requirements unknown.

i was able to park across the road at the T junction

and took off from there and flew without losing VLOS so technically can be flown without requiring permision

The originator declared that this location was not inside a Flight Restriction Zone at the time of being flown on 12/12/2019. It remains the responsibility of any pilot to check for any changes before flying at the same location.

Great place to fly. I emailed the grace website and they were happy for me to put the drone up. I parked at the bulls head near by LE67 8LR as advised by the site.

About a 5 min walk through beautiful woodland.
Thanks for the heads up on this location @stevesb

Just sent a email to the treasurer of the site, asking for permission to fly there out of courtesy got a lovely response …

Thank you

Nice one Shaun @sdj_drones

We need more people like Malcom Allsop on side

I’ve flown here too @stevesb

Took a little drive over here myself this morning. It was a bit gusty wind wise so didnt push my luck too much here as there were also people around.

I don’t think they even heard my Mini 3 Pro due to the bits of gusty wind around.

I parked in a bit of a layby just directly opposite the site and crossed the road to take off outside of the site but I do plan to go back and walk from the pub over as it really looks like a fab place to walk and take photos and fly.

Here are some of my panos from my flight

Well worth the visit
Plenty of streams and woodland trails to follow

man that Avata 2 has some cool moves in it - I did want to fly my Avata there when I visted but there were too many people around and a bit windy - but as this is not too far away I will be back for sure to give it a proper blast.

Glad someone has done it though !

Had a first crack at this today, and got some good footage which I was able to make 3D stereos out of.
