Hello!
I am Uwe from Germany, born in 1959, so a rather old one…
We are currently planning a trip to the Lake District, where we
were several times in the pre-drone-era.
We will stay in Ambleside and I wonder, where the best sites
for flying would be.
I will just take only my DJI Neo2 with me, my Air3S will be too
bulky for hiking.
What kind of drone-app would you recommend?

Hi Uwe, welcome from the Black Country.
If you’re in the Lake District look out for the Low Flying aircraft and helicopters as it’s one of UKs Low Flying Areas for the military (RAF, USAF, US Marines, Luftwaffe etc.). It’s the best free Air Display you’ll find! They only fly during week days, not Saturday or Sunday. If you hear jets you might want to keep the drone on the ground, as they appear very quickly!
Enjoy your stay.
