FYI, Hadrian’s Wall is “owned” by English Heritage, who, according to their website control the airspace above their land.
“Due to the delicate nature of our sites, English Heritage does not permit drone flying from or over sites in our care, except by contractors or partners undertaking flights for a specific purpose, who satisfy stringent CAA criteria, have the correct insurances and permissions, and are operating under controlled conditions.”

That old chestnut (and not the tree)

They may own the land and can prevent you for TOAL but that’s about it.

If memory serves me right, Sycamore Tree Gap was used in the 1991 film “Robin Hood: Prince of Thieves”, if so, bit of a trek from Sherwood Forest me thinks. . . .

I said that to the OH when we were there

Nope, Thats the remit of the CAA.
