I’m planning to walk the length of Hadrian’s wall in June. Any recommendations for drone photos along the route? PS. I’m aware of the English Heritage restrictions. Thanks, Steve
For charity?
Landmarks etc aside, I guess a lot of your adhoc photo opportunities will depend on the weather on the day, the sunrise/sunset times too.
Would love to see the results though, please share!
Not for charity … done long walks in the past for charity but don’t feel I can ask again in these times.
Will post pics as and when I can.
Hadrian’s wall is on my bucket list. Was doing the Cleveland Way then the lockdown stopped that. Bagged myself a mini 2 now so no excuse not taking a portable drone with me.
I would think you will have a ball up there!
I would like to visit the very iconistic Sycamore Gap, Vindolanda and I guess the cliffs and mile forts will give you something to see and photograph.
Good luck with the weather and light!
Thanks. I’ll research the sites you’ve mentioned.
Very interested in this as we are ('KIN COVID allowing) walking a few days in October. Along the wall.
This series on Ch5, starting this evening, might give you some ideas …
Thanks, got it set to record.
I’m making a series of films for History Hit about the wall.
First couple of episodes online already - just editing part 3 now!

It includes some drone shots - but not mine sadly! It was filmed before I got my own drone.
Me too
Thanks, I’ll have a look.
And me!
