Great images. If you go Sat at about 9.45am you would get the steam train ‘Union of South Africa’ going across.

That weekend is the western model air show…

Bet the place will be crowded with the drone fraternity that day.
Apart from a few cars passing where I flew from, there was not soul about.
The weather could not have been better.
If you fly from the northern end you encounter a NFZ.

That’s a bit of a bummer,
Shal I ask them to delay the train for a week ? :rofl: :laughing:

That’s the problem with high profile events, everybody and his dog and drone turns up.
Maybe we can take off from a distance and fly over, just within VLOS, 1/2 mile ??

Western is epic. Steam trains happen semi regularly western is but once a year

I noticed that you could probably get up onto the hillside (nearest the village) but, would almost certainly be farmland doing so.
