I know everyone has been on the edge of their seats. New cable has arrived and, as expected, hasn’t fixed anything. Unless Customer Support come up with a reasonable proposal when they wake up, I suspect it is going back. Very conflicted as to whether to risk another one or save up for something else.

No. It would be nice to know if it worked, but I doubt it would take me further in terms of the best way forward.
Did you manage firmware update ? If it’s freezing try using instead of your WiFi but hotspot it from your phone instead, it used to be a similar problem with DJI drones many years ago when using dji assistant on my computer using WiFi so I connected computer to my phone data instead.
Seems it’s acceptable to interference, try it away from houses cars even a smart watch and see if this helps.
You could be right a faulty drone or receiver so ask them to exchange for a new one.
Finally got my refund, nearly 2 weeks after initiating the process and nearly a month after ordering the drone. AliExpress customer support is the worst; for a while I thought I’d have to resort to making a claim through PayPal. The annoying thing is the drone could’ve been great, and if customer support from either Potensic or AliExpress had been engaged and helpful, I’m sure we could’ve had some kind of replacement arranged.
AliExpress sent me a feedback survey to fill in, which was nice. The survey is in Ukrainian.
So I’m now droneless. Hey ho. I’m sure I’ll join you guys in the skies some day.
I gave up on my Atom 2 when Potensic wouldn’t say when or if it would get waypoints. I switched to a DJI mini 3 using Litchi, which wasn’t that much more expensive.
Apparently waypoints are working in Potensic’s Asian market.
I have the same issue with my galaxy s21 ultra. Potensic are telling me I should buy a usebeam cable but I dont want to buy it unless I can see someone has verified it works. I don’t trust AIs guarentees on the fix. This is the cable they told me to buy

I’ve also heard there’s been successful OTG work arounds to get the phone and controller to connect fine I just haven’t doing them yet
What problem are you trying to fix? The cable’s not long enough to reach the phone’s USB socket or you’ve got a dodgy cable?
If Potensic’s cable is long enough but ssometimes disconnects from the controller, try putting your phone in the controller more towards you, so there’s a decent gap between top of phone and the aerial. That worked for me and continued to work for about 6 months until I switched to using a magsafe holder.
If you do need an extension, I’d go with what Potensic say. It needs to be a simple extension cable, not an OTG cable because all the wired wizardry is done by Potensic’s cable.

Basically the only way it will connect (phone - controller-drone) is if I reverse the 90 degree cable they provode, so doing that means my phone can’t fit into the controller. I contacted potensic I was amazed to see they said I needed to buy a cable the one above. However the picture they have demonstrating the link shows the pgone being seperate from the control. Which was my initial issue. Some AI are saying that cable above can connect to my phone, some saying the potensic cable has to be connected to the phone. I just don’t know if the above cable is orientational fussy aswel as capable of connecting if I use it on my phone alongside theirs. I just can’t believe they don’t supply a cable that works with the samsungs they have such a huge gap of the market

Very true mate, just slightly annoyed I was mislead by potensic upon purchase. Plus I’m new to this and based on their responses it’s as if it’s well known and should have a confirmed fix and actually supply it since they advertise the compatibility. I’ll order one and try. Failing that it’s going back. I should of always went dji
