Have you been contacted by the CAA?

Got an email from the CAA about consultation Re proposed Drone registration Nov 19
I feel we all need to put our point of view across and get decent regulations for once
(at least they are asking for our opinion ?)
Follow the link https://sparck.typeform.com/to/mlsBqT

Doesn’t look an Official Document from the CAA, in my opinion?.
Looks more like someone trying to get a Poll together off his own back.
I could be wrong !.
Who the hell is Max Earp ?

@Gadgerman, A lot of us filled in a rather lengthy consultation form about proposals to do with drones only about 3 weeks or so back?.
I for one won’t be filling in his “Form”, unless I have some form of proof of his integrity.

I filled it in out of curiosity.

Came across more like market research than anything else.

you’ll probably be bombarded with crap for the next 10 years now !!

Doubt it.

Didn’t ask for any personal information.

I wonder if it’s as simple as CAA having contracted ‘SPARCK’ to conduct their market research for them?

Ok, I found this, which makes it pretty much official / genuine:

It seems to be orientated around where you get information as a pilot like club’s and websites and if you let others fly your drone.

Seems quite specific the information they are after which I’m guessing is to do with registration and people having a try of others aircraft’s.

I wouldn’t be surprised if they have a clause where unregistered people can fly a drone when accompanied by a registered pilot.
