I have just added this to the map of places to fly your drone at Drone Scene:
This is a large park in Harrow, with a historic manor house with a moat and tithe barn.
Although there are a lot of sports pitches, they are not all in use all the time. The council have currently no restrictions on the use of drones in the park.
There is a cafe and 2 car parks. Headstone Lane Station (Lioness Line & national rail) is also close by, not to mention several bus stops.
The originator declared that this location was not inside a Flight Restriction Zone at the time of being flown on 21/09/2025. It remains the responsibility of any pilot to check for any changes before flying at the same location. Landowner permission may be required before taking off.
Hi guys
Can i take off and fly and land at headstone recreational park in harrow ?
Ive looked up the info and says yes i can but the last post i saw was in September 2025
And cant find anymore upto date information
Ohh by the way i have a sub 250g lito x1
Hope you guys can help
There are 2 main things to consider when flying, one is there TOAL (Take Off and Landing) permission from the land owner, in this case Harrow Council. From Drone Scene map, the answer is that Harrow has no prohibitions on drone use on their land, so parks are free for use and Headstone Manor is one of the largest parks in the borough.
There other is there any restriction on the airspace listed by the CAA. Again checking Drone Scene helps. I have checked and there are no restrictions at the moment.
Also the amount you can see on Drone Scene varies by membership level IIRC.
Finally as you are quite new, you may wish to introduce yourself on Introductions topic. I am sure a committee member will give the full details.
A park is an excellent place to start flying, as there is plenty of space, although Headstone is used for sports so avoid any matches.
Thanks for the advice so i will find a safe quite spot in headstone park and take off fly and land safely
