I was here a couple of years ago, but a battle with leukemia meant that I abandoned flying for a long time. But now (after a bunch of chemo and steroids) I’m back, keen to start flying again. This is such a cool club and I look forward to chatting/flying/posting as soon as the lockdown ends.
Welcome from a relative noob! We’ve kept a warm seat by the fire for you
Welcome back David.
Welcome back, glad you are back on your feet.
Blimey - impressive credentials.
I used to work for the company that owns Cessna, but never got to fly in one!
Great to have you back @PsychoTeapot.
Glad your doing well mate.
David
Welcome back my man!
Great to hear from you again
Nice to see you back David from one of the Old Farts!.
Glad you are doing well after a couple of what would have been tough years!.
Cheers, Rich.
Older, not necessarily wiser, and definitely fatter - but it’s good to be back. Got serious kit envy - still only got Mavic Pro 1 - but no dosh yet to splurge on a newer one!
Welcome back David first I will say sorry to hear of your illness I and we can share your out time etc but glad that your getting back to flying I wish you well😀
@PsychoTeapot welcome back and all the best for your health…

Excuse James?, he has a thing about speed and crashing (sometimes) !.
Great news. Stay well. Keep flying.
Welcome back.
Hi Dave.
I wasn’t here when you were here last.
Great news on the remission.
I’m getting there. I have CML so like you I’m in complete lockdown
Don’t know what it was like then but I must say
“Why did you bother coming back to this group? We’re all crackers”
Lol
On a serious note, (not that I am very serious at the best of times🤔)
Take care pal
If you ever need a chat just DM me. Sure we most probably have loads in common.
Well done and stay safe
I see them Men in White Coats visit you as well then !. ![]()
Do you have the Nurse with the bit hits put you to bed?, like me?
“Cooooming Nurse”! ![]()
I do if I close my eyes.
They don’t let me out of here very much. I haven’t been past the door since the 17th of March. It’s nice and cosy though. They have even insulated the walls for me. Hmmmm nice and soft. I’m not a right fan of the coat they put me into though. It’s a bit tight and my arms get numb pretty quickly. The belt, can’t understand why they go through my legs instead of round my waist. They did say it was because I have started to put a bit on around the girth. But I don’t believe them as I can still see my big toes when I stand up and look down. It’s nice a quiet though. On another note there are 2741 holes or dimples in the walls. Not sure what they are for. I have a nice window but I can’t open it because of this bloody coat.
