Welcome to Grey Arrows. Once we’re allowed to go out again take yourself over to Sallagh Braes near Larne, plenty of wide open space to have a blast. And check Where can I fly my drone in the UK? - Drone Scene for more ideas.

@bkane @ziceman Hopefully lockdowns will be relaxed in a couple of months, and when they are, how about getting yourselves out and adding some locations to Drone Scene for our staycation trips? I’m currently responsible for 7 of the 8 NI locations and feeling a little lonely to be honest. :+1:

I’ve had a Mavic pro from day it released would have done fun fly’s not good enough pictures or videos to upload imo  then had a bad 18 months no flying and then it was learning basics again. I’m rubbish but trying to learn without success again imo, doing manual settings and Getting ND filters correct for the environment, was going to give up then the mini 2 came out and omg I love it as it’s what I like out the pocket and fly in seconds. :+1:

I’m now got prop guards coming so I can learn to fly lower between objects and not 20 ft above like I’ve been doing in the past, I have depth perception problem due to a eye trauma so makes flying low near anything a problem which trying to adjust too. Strange thing I could shoot a target a mile away no problems

@ziceman Don’t do yourself down Mark, you might be pleasantly surprised at the interest you get if you upload some of your stuff. My videos aren’t anywhere nearly as good as many others that people upload, but even so I’ve got a small handful of subscribers, which I really didn’t expect. The main reason I started uploading to YouTube in the first place was for the online storage and the ability to share with friends and family without having to send large files. I have my own website for sharing photos. I’m happy enough to keep my Mavic 2 Pro for far away places like the Mournes or The Antrim Hills and I’ve now got a Mini 2 as well for local flying. It only arrived last week and I’ve haven’t had a chance to get out with it because of the lockdown and the weather. Here’s looking forward to better times.
