Hello from Nottingham /Derby border

Hi @Ukmarc, you’ve found the best drone site…. in the world. Lots of experienced people in here. I read your introduction with a chuckle as I did the same as you with my Phantom. Stuck the props on, throw the battery in and fire it up in the living room. Holy crap I was not expecting the noise and power. I managed to grab the leg but the more I pulled it down, the more it powered up as it tried to get to hover height. I was screaming at the wife to come and turn it off, she was shitting a brick as the noise was immense. Paperwork was blowing all over the living room, total carnage. Still chuckling as I type this. So my advice is do not fit props inside the house. 2nd advice is watch what you’re doing if it asks for firmware update. These things get very hot while updating and fry the gimbal boards. Do a lot of research before updating. Don’t update if it’s working. 3rd once you get your OP I/d on the drone, get into a massive open space where there are no people to worry about and enjoy. Better still, take up the offer of a GADC member to give you a hand. Once you get the Phantom up in the air, you can build confidence that the drone is quite good. If you get panicked, just remove your hands from the remote and it will hover until you compose yourself.
4th - have fun and enjoy.
