Really new don’t understand question or reason for it. My drone has crashed. I have pic of it, I need a competent drone operator to examine the area to try and match crash zone if possible Brian

Lots of modern drones have a “find my drone” function. Thats why I asked what drone it is. It sounds like you know where it is and want help retrieving it?
Is this the case?

I know area, small housing estate on edge of Longford park,
The pic looks like it landed in shrubs possibly a back garden?
I have a pick of its resting place, I need help identifying if possible.
I have been to one house, very helpful but not there, also left a number notes through doors, to no avail. Thought another drone might spot where it’s at from my photo!

If the drone still has some battery in it the find my drone function will make the drone bleep loudly. If I knew which drone you have I could advise

I 91 hearing not good. I hope that someone local might be competent enough to fly in the area, not like me first time flyer.

Brian, if you have the owners’ manual that came with the drone, or can access it online as a pdf, it should be able to tell you what ‘find my’ features your drone has and how to use them. A GPS drone can be located quite accurately, down to a few feet, but actually finding it on the ground is highly dependent on the foliage, ground cover and ambient light, and whether or not it is up a tree! If you can take somebody along with who has fully functioning hearing, they are more likely to hear any beeping noise the drone makes. I’m going to assume that you do not have ‘Airdata’ app, which will also show the GPS positioning on a map to within a few feet.

Other than that, it’s a matter of canvassing in the area by knocking on doors, which sounds a bit hit & miss at best. I had to do this recently in an attempt to find a lost smartphone, helped by friendly locals and a borrowed rake, and was not successful though I must have been within a very few feet! You know it’s down in shrubbery, which will make it difficult to see from overhead with another drone unless the drone is lying on top of the shrub; if it’s ‘gone in’ things become much more difficult. Hope it works out and sorry not to be able to provide anything a bit more hopeful!

Thank you, I have put notes through doors, also one very helpful tenant surveyed area from upstairs window. To try and ascertain terain on crashed photo over local back gardens. It certainly looks as if it in foliage, but includes garden features, I hope I could identify from air. I am going to extend my notes today, but don’t hold much hope. Thank you for help. Brian
