So set up my volador 3.5 with speedy bee f405 stack.
Everything is now set up ready to maiden.
However to get the stack to fit correctly I’ve have to turn the board 180 degrees so that the power comes out to the front.
Test flight showed that the orientation was off as the drone flipped.
Back to YouTube and I realise that despite calibrations I’ve not told betaflight that the board is the opposite way around.
Change this and now the drone flips another way.
I’ve gone back and forth over this numerous times and still can’t get the right result.
Anyone know what I could be doing wrong?
What setting have you changed to correct the 180deg orientation mate?

All you should need to do is change the yaw degrees setting here…
and then check correct movement here… it shoud move exactly as you move the physical quad.

So currently its showing that the quad is facing the right direction.
However the board is physically the opposite way.
Does betaflight not need to be aware the board is the other way?
Yes, that’s why you set the yaw degrees to 180, it tells the board it’s fitted back to front.
The FC should have an arrow head shape printed on it, in your case, from what you’ve said it should be pointing to the rear

Perfect - done that - i’ll go see what its doing in the garden now.

you’re problem on flipping might be something else…
If you’ve rotated the whole stack, that includes the ESC board so the motor number markings will have changed,
Check here … that the correct motors move when you start them one at a time.
So I’d checked that it looks right on BF but not actually tried the physical motors.
I’ll whip the props off and check that first .
