I recently purchased a second hand ATOMRC dolphin, everything works perfectly fine, I’m having struggles with the camera. I know it’s a firmware issue but I can’t get it working. I was hoping a kind soul or someone nearby could lend me a hand in getting it up in the air. I can’t for the life of me get a clear image and I know it’s a firmware difference. Hoping for physical help.

We will have a few Tech Savvy Guys at the Beacon park meetup. If they can’t sort it out i would be surprised. they have a wealth of knowledge between them..

I believe I’m using the DJI Vista vtx with a runcam wasp.

That’s the screen I see.
I know the board is ok because if I tilt the dolphin the on screen one tilts too. So it’s something software related.

I would check mipi cable between the vista and the wasp. I can’t see firmware being the issue.

Also as the menu looks fine, I’d also be looking more at a fault with the camera rather than the Visa unit.
Thats if the mipi cable doesn’t fix the issue.

It’s a brand new camera that I just got today, that’s why I’m hesitant to say it’s the cable. Or the camera.

So both the mipi cable and camera are brand new today? Was you getting the exact same issue with the old mipi cable and camera?

The guy hadn’t flown it for a year. The camera had broken cables but I have proof it flew before. So I can’t speak for the old one because I never got it working. The only thing I can say that might have caused this is the firmware. I can bring the old one if you guys can mguyver smth out of it

Guess it will be a bring the laptop a tools type meet. 
I’ll bring the bigger trolly. 
There will be plenty of vistas there so can test all components against known working ones

for the board or the camera- i won’t immediately buy a new camera until the professionals (you guys) give the thumbs up
i took the unit apart and plugged it back in slowly and carefully, the screen isn’t worse, but the bottom half is flashing pink and the top is just a blurred mess, reading DJI support it just says that i need to update things
That is usually a damaged wire between camera and unit but just to be sure make sure that airunit and goggles are on the same and appropriate firmware
I’m not all that familiar with DJI stuff so one of the other guys can jump in here with more expertise
Yeah i did consider that. But the plane wasn’t flown for a while, and i can see the footage of it’s last voyage. When i tilt the plane the display does the thing too. According to DJI and runcam that’s what it is? Im hoping that’s all it is, a bad update or somethign because I don’t have the gear to change out the system, it’s in anothter continent
