Nothing like a bit of light polution
Contacted the CAA Monday ( Airspace Co-ordination and Obstacle Management (caa.co.uk) got permission Thursday to fly in the Heysham power station restricted zone.
Security and police were great in the dealings with them as well.
You can see the 2 imposing buildings in the background which are Heysham 1 & 2 both are way past their intended lifespan but they keep going. Maybe one day one might go up and we’ll all get a cheap suntan.
The speculation of a 3rd reactor is on going if and when it gets the go ahead that would probably be another 20 years away before it came on line.
Well done. I was trying to get permission to fly there some time ago but got passed from pilar to post.
