Hi all. Pointed in the direction of this place by Mr @DaveJaVu. Due to his bad influence, I now have myself a Nazgul5. I have a little tiny whoop-alike which I occasionally buzz around the house crashing into things, but this is my first real go at flying proper quads, after getting into fixed wings about a year ago.
I’m two or three flights in now, so still at the circling slowly around a field phase, but looking forward to developing some skills in 2021.

Yeah, I live right next to the prison, which is irritating! Got any good recommendations for fields to fly/learn in that don’t involve driving miles? I tend to fly planes at Bury Field in Newport Pagnell but you get a lot of dog walkers there, so not brilliantly ideal for flying too low.
I’m in Stony and tend to drive out to the nearest villages, find a quiet spot and then send my drone up. Oh, and avoid Cranfield area east of MK as there’s a FRZ over the little airport.
Cheers, I need to have a bit of a look around. Ideally needs to be a field that I can walk out into if necessary as I’m still learning to fly so the odd crash is probably likely.

I live in Leighton Buzzard and fly in the surrounding areas. I have found a great spot on the road between Woburn and Woburn Sands. Head towards Woburn Sands from Woburn and pull into the layby/parking spot on the left a mile or so after the station. A few walkers but for the most part really quiet. I have done one short video there but have yet to really spend some time flying around.
