Yep got that but Brittany is a region split into 4 departments. Just wondering which one.
France is split into 13 regions most of which are split about 4 departments.
The region i lived in was Poitou-Charante and the department was Charante maritime. The commune as they call it was Chives, but my village was Seche Boue.

As a kid I used to know the names/location of all of the 96 department 2-digit codes that used to be on French number plates.
Part of my father’s method of keeping me amused as a young kid on long camping holidays and trying to spot all of them.

They are alphabetical in order. apart from paris which cocks it up. Ours was 17, the Charante which was the dept nexr door was 16.
Done that too , as well as remembering all the Aire Du names on the route down
