I have just added this to the map of places to fly your drone at Drone Scene:
This recreational ground has been approved by Fareham Borough for flying of model aircraft. There is a sign at the entrance saying that it is for the use of South Coast Solent Flyers but we cannot find this club anywhere. There are times when flying can take place and warning to other park users.
The originator declared that this location was not inside a Flight Restriction Zone at the time of being flown on 15/09/2020. It remains the responsibility of any pilot to check for any changes before flying at the same location. Landowner permission may be required before taking off.
This sign has now been removed, flying can now take place any time or day. Fareham Borough Council have removed the restrictions, but Pilots most have CAA registration, Insurance and abide by the model flying rules and regulations. (Article 16 Authorisation)
Been flying Hook Lane on and off since 2016-7, in that time all that’s been added is the area nearest to the parking/local residential housing is privacy restricted by the council via a small sign post in the field in front of the ex-changing rooms which are now used to store the Council Gardening heavy equipment. There are a couple of rotary & fixed wing RC aircraft meets during the summer months - telling sign is a prepared air strip and surrounding area in what’s usually very long grass! I always fly from the side of the field farthest from the road/car park, it can only accommodate about 5-6 vehicles, field is mainly used by dog walkers.
