Hoover Building - Added to Historic Buildings in London

I have just added this to the map of places to fly your drone at Drone Scene:

Land owner permission requirements unknown.

Hoover building Perivale London.

I flew this back in January 2023 on a freezing cold night. TOAL was easy from a park, VLOS was good as it was dark, it was very quiet when I attended but can imagine it gets busy or can be in the day so do be mindful of that.

I remember this building well coming out of London on many a late night, now they have started building flats it has kinda ruined how it used to look but worth a visit & would be better using a sub 250g drone due to the busy A40 that runs past it.

The originator declared that this location was not inside a Flight Restriction Zone at the time of being flown on 17/01/2023. It remains the responsibility of any pilot to check for any changes before flying at the same location.

Started?

It was a Tesco 35 years ago when I used to go into it, after they bought the whole building.

Really I didn’t know that, I’ll get rid of the Tesco’s bit as it’s more the flats rather :+1:

I know Tesco built houses behind as part of their initial development of the site. There may now be flats too.

Probably can’t see them from the road.

I can image as this I well over a year now that ( call it the skyline above ) has ruined the look of the building.

Edit :

I think your right, that place looks stunning from a lower level !

Looks like they were building recently …

Ah I remember now …. I wanted to drop the drone lower so you didn’t see all the building etc at the back but I couldn’t as the tree tops was in the way & if I went beyond them I’d be over the top of the A40 however this place has better potential for a sub 250g drone I’d say, I’ll put that in the DS entry …
