And a follow-me / tracking beacon in the top right pic? :eyes:

But why? Who asked for this feature? And why did they ask for it?

Very drunk, sunburnt, Brits on their kid’s’ “swan” themed water-ring, who’ve drifted far away from the beach in Torremolinos .. probably ..

Pricing will be interesting. Hoverair released their X1 Pro around the same time as the Neo but it was nearly 3 times the price, it is still listed at £459 vs Neo at £160. They are not exactly the same thing but so close that the average punter won’t know that.

But this Aqua seems genuinely unique and there has to be a market for it surely?

Now if they could just make it dive as well as fly I would be first in the queue!

Or these guys?

In what way? Swellpro have been making these for years

I guess so, they’d not make it if they couldn’t sell it. But I still want to know who wants a floating drone

Why would people want to do this. I shiver watching it.

Actually, I’d like it.
I know where the River Rea starts outside Birmingham and I know where it meets the River Tame. Sections of the Rea are public and accessible and other sections are a mystery to me. I’ve been pondering the logistical challenge of video recording a “ducks-eye” journey along the full length of the Rea for a few months now.
A HoverAir Aqua could play a part. I’d need to remotely track it and it would need a good signal range. But it could jump the weirs and other obstacles without me getting my feet wet.

A cheap RC boat from Amazon with a GoPro stuck on top

Might come in handy chasing jetskis and windsurfers.

I wouldn’t mind a floating drone, especially if I could move it about on the surface of the water from the RC and if I could take off again from the water. The murder of my Mini 2SE last year by seagull mob attack might have turned out differently!

Alleged murder

Alleged schmalleged! It was premeditated and unprovoked; AirData showed 16 separate attacks (recorded as collisions) in 7 seconds as they followed it down, and then the bastards came over and flew around me, laughing! Dronicide beyond any reasonable doubt.

Great shots possible from flat off a lake surface I guess. Now if it could operate as a submersible I would really be impressed!

Hello from your Scottish contingent.

So restricted up here we have to make do with left-hand drive cars and three-armed drones

Perhaps ‘leaks’ is the wrong word for the title of this thread ?
