How can they get away with this

Tell me if this LOOKS like a Mavic 3 Pro… How do they get away with it being so close in looking like it.

Russ, hope you don’t mind but I’ve removed the clickability from your link.

People can copy and paste it if they wish to see where it goes.

That web site has SCAM written all over it and we don’t want to be driving traffic to it or increasing their search engine rankings

Hey not a problem. If you think it will cause a problem I can delete it.

No need to delete, it’s great to raise awareness of these things

I’ve just added a screen shot to your post for some context

Oh I can not delete it

That is what I was going to do. The advert looks like DJI, the website looked like DJI so I also sent the link to DJI saying… Interested in what looks like a copy.?

And no I do not mind you doing that at all. Thanks for telling me though. Does not feel as harsh as the other automated message hits me and I think… Arrgh I upset someone lol

So all good here.

Going back to it though. Are they allowed to make a drone that looks so so so close to a mavic 3 pro. The scary thing is, if they put a sticker on it with mavic and tried to sell it somewhere… how many people would fall for it. Scary

It’s China… Copyright, IP… nah! They all just copy each other without recourse

Crazy they get away with that.

That’s if they’re even making a drone? :person_shrugging:t2:

It might just be a scam to take your money and the web site will disappear in a few months when they’ve ripped everyone off

So the picture could be a mavic 3 pro but advertised as something else to reel people in. Grrr to them

If you do a Google image search on some of the images it is a real drone sold on aliexpress etc for about £30.

It’s a bit like the Eachine one that was used in all these types of scams.

There’s a good chance people will receive something but it’s definately not going to match any of the specs or build quality advertised.

My nephew got stung a while back with a scam i persued it and managed to get money back

Claims to be:

249g, 3 cameras.

15.2V 4480mAh battery (incredible). Extra batteries are about £12 each.

1TB storage but only 934.8GB available (deal breaker)

As they say… if something is too good to be true… Prob is
