How do I pair a Potensic Atom 2 to its controller?

How to link atom 2 to the controller

A quick search

This hasn’t seemed to work for me…I tried on my phone and it wouldn’t connect. Got a newish phone and still not connecting to the controller. Changed the USB lead and still no connection. However on this occasion the drone did fly and took a chunk of skin off of my thumb when I couldn’t stop it.

Anyway, baffled on how to connect the atom 2 with my phone/controller. Controller doesn’t even connect to my phone for some reason despite everything being up to date.

Are you using the Potensic USB-C lead, and is it the right way round? Atoms can’t use generic leads.

I ordered another lead and still had the same problem.

Typically after posting (and after the sun went down) I figured out the issue. My phone automatically goes to charging then plugged in, had to change the phone action when usb c lead is plugged in to file share mode

… There’s always tomorrow

Turns out that was not the problem and it still won’t connect

What leads are you buying? Only Potensic’s work but I suspect a C to C OTG cable would as well.
Have you got it plugged in the right way round? They only work one way.
Have you tried connecting it without the phone in the controller, like sat on a table with the phone next to the controller? A problem I had seemed to be the position of the phone in the controller and something in the controller grip was messing with the cable.
Have you contacted Potensic? Use the Eve app to contact support.

Hi

I have used the one that comes with the device and bought a new one from Potensic on Amazon, yet I am still having connection issues. Have tried plugging it in in different ways, but it does not seem to be resolving the issues even when the phone is sat outside the controller. Have tried with mutiple phones also.

It is taking the fun out of it; I get it to connect intermittently and fly it for a few mins (by choice – I want to get used to it), but then I take the phone out of the controller cradle and unplug and go back to square one. I have noticed when trying to pair, etc., I’m wasting 70% of the battery trying to sort it out.

Can you not return it as it seems faulty

Does sound like a return case, or persevere with support but they only operate during the Chinese working day so turnround can be slow.

There’s already at least a couple of us on here who have had issues with this controller and drone. I think it is a genuine problem and would suggest you ask for a refund as soon as possible as they took ages to process mine.

Contact the seller, assuming it’s not a second-hand purchase.
