How do I reattach the 5D button on a Mavic 2 controller?

I have a mavic 2 and the 5D button has seemed to have come out, how can I put it back in so that it stays in fully?

I still have the button in case you are wondering

If it is just the cap (the bit your finger touches) that has come loose then I think it should just push back on as a friction fit. If it is very loose and won’t stay in place then a ‘small’ dab of superglue, the gel type, might be in order.

If I’ve got this all wrong then post some photographs so we can see the problem

Did this work? I have the same issues

Have a look at this short video it seems like it just pulls out so I’m guessing it’s just the reverse clipping it back into place,
Unless as mentioned above if maybe something is worn,

Hi thanks for the link. Not sure I really want to do that!!! Let show what they said via email…

To address the issue with the button not sitting flush, it is indeed necessary to apply a bit more pressure than you have been using. The button is designed to fit snugly and securely, which sometimes requires a firm press to snap into place. Please rest assured that the controller’s design accounts for the pressure needed to install such components.

Here’s what we recommend:

  1. Align the button over the small white point as you have been doing.
  2. Use your thumb to apply steady and firm pressure directly onto the button.
  3. You should feel a click as the button snaps into place.
  4. Once installed, the button should not wobble and should be level with the surrounding surface.

So I did as they said. Heard the little click. Just not flush or as secure as I believe it should be / was.

You have been very helpful. Thanks

I know there saying it sits flush but of all the DJI controllers I’ve seen with the 5D button ( even my rc pro ) they all sit slightly proud so they have the movement of side to side / up / down bottom if that makes sense,
Post a picture of how yours is if you can :+1:

Edit :

Wasn’t saying take it apart, it was the only video I could find showing what seems to be an easy snap out & hopefully snap back in process.

My Mavic 2 Zoom controller (same as yours) has a 5d button that doesn’t sit flush, and never has.

Picture as requested.

Looks right to me, as long as it’s clipped into place & not falling out & functions I’d say it’s all good to go,
I have since been looking at the same ( but others ) they all seem to be the same & is what I thought, picture below of another one ( again they sit proud )
