Hi how do you update the smart controller fly app ive just downloaded the latest firmware, and the fly app is 1.1.6 a but the latest on my android phone is 1.1.9 and theirs no play store on the device.
Any advise will be appreciated

I have SC as well… apparently they, for some reason are always slow updating it???
your not kidding there at least 2 updates behind, also theres no way to update the app as theres no google play store loaded either. not had much luck with dji either…
If you have a pc or Mac use DJI assistant 2 to update the smart controller.
The smart controller should also be indicating on the screen when checking for updates wether there is an update or not if connected to WiFi

hovthanks its a brand new one yesterday and i updated it for the mavic air2 firmware and it uploaded the the fly app, so when i went into the the app its 1.1 6 with no option to update with no google plat installed and as far as im aware your unable to download google play which isnt good
Are you flying your craft with the smart controller or are you using your android phone??
If you are using the DJI smart controller and on initialisation it does not say you need to update then the controller is up to date irrespective of which version the smart controller says it has this is the last known working update for this device . If you were to use a android phone with your craft then it may have a different version number as this will be the latest known version to work with that particular android device.
It does not mean you have got an inferior version.
If you used an IOS device (iPhone) you would find that it would have a different version number as well.
