On average, how many battery packs do you take out on a session?
I live in North London. When I feel like flying a 4S quad I have to travel at least 30 minutes away by car/train. I’ve been looking for new places to fly but I only charge 4 batteries just in case I am disappointed when I get there. If absolute certain of a decent place I would likely take 10 packs.
12+ usually… Often a LOT more.
I have loads of quads though that need loads of different sizes of batteries.
Like Yith a good few, if I bring any back I recharge my goggles and controller with them

All of them, fully charged, ‘just in case’. There is obviously a cut-off point at which you have so many batts that they become burdensome, and I don’t have a car, so ‘all of them’ means 3 in the charging hub, so that’s actually not that impressive. No biggie carting them around in a rucksack on the bus, or even if I have to put in a bit of a walk, though!
To my mind, there is little point in having a spare battery if it is left at home! Same goes for mobile phone, and I use an old iPhone 11 to fly with so I have a phone to take calls on as well. Handy for non-drone fots/vids & fots of drone as well!!
I take 6 out with my Mini 4 Pro and also have a power bank if I’m out for the day.
Thankfully our camera drone batteries last a little longer than in these self-build quads seem to.

What did you say about your car, in the detailing thread? I never felt a thing if you did 
Too many. If flying proper FPV then 5/6 4s and the same 6s.
If taking dji then what ever i have for each - usually 3 or 4.
If I’m bringing both types then its not unusual to have 12 fpv batteries and 12/13 dji batteries.
Usually fetch my power pack and solar panel if longer than a day session or a proper day session.
Yeah! 3-5 minutes with my batteries.
