This is from DJI and it worked for me.
Please select the (…), select Control > Button Customisation, and please make sure Hold C1 Right Dial is on Gimbal Roll. You may refer to the below link. Do take note that this feature will only be available on manual control.

I think it’s because of this:

I presume it is switched on for drones that have flexible gimbal rotation (i.e. not the 90-degree, portrait-landscape switching but the gradual camera rotation feature) so that you can see where the horizon is if you have partially rotated the gimbal. Therefore, I think you would only see it on the Mavic 4 Pro and the Mini 5 Pro.

Same but I do get a horizon line back as soon as I rotate the gimbal away from 0°.

Do this: To enable this line, in the RC custom buttons, when setting (C1+right dial/C2+right dial) as gimbal roll; or (right dial) as gimbal roll, the level will be displayed.
