Iv downloaded a couple of STL files and not 100% what they look like is there anyway of viewing them ???
can either download and install a Free slicer like prusaslicer or cura.
or the basic windows 3D viewer should open them.

If you don’t want to install anything and the file is not sensitive, just upload it to a 3d printing service and you can view it there
