I have my new Mini 4K and can't get DJI Care

When actually setting up the drone with the app I saw the option flick up but it was asking for an activation code which I didn’t understand… i clicked away… tested the drone inside for a few seconds. motors powered up and camera operated. I’ll try to fly it today.

Looking at DJI care in my account and it says unable to purchase! I have only had it a two days.

Anyone else had this?

You only have a day or so to activate DJI Care when you bound the drone to your DJI account. So the time has lapped but that does not mean you can not get DJI Care.

There is a way to do it and you have to basically submit some video’s of the drone in flight etc so they can validate that the drone is 100% OK at the time of you applying the care plan to it.

if it makes you feel better I did the same thing with my Mini 3 pro a few years back - its an easy enough thing to do and yeah a little bit of a faf with the video upload but the DJI team are great at assisting you on that one and well worth it in the long term should you need to use it.

It does… I’ll do a video… just seems to be an obstacle race when they want your custom.

They speed the process to minimise their cost associated with the risk of ‘uninsured’ maiden flights crashing - but easy to get it afterwards as long as you do t crash!! Chances are you’ll never need it if you buy it … but will crash if you don’t!!!

I managed to order and bind the care package with the drone when ordering🤦🏻‍♂️

It is listed as covered and active now despite the obstacle course on the way.
