I wish you could alter Fly app settings

without having the drone on and static…(getting very warm!

I’d like to peruse the whole menu system at leisure… I’m not aware that you can do this… unless you know better… :upside_down_face:

But how would your Fly app know which of your six DJI Mini drones you wanted to apply that setting to? :thinking:

Mark @yorkie9668 has a stand to get a bit of airflow during firmware updates, it could also be used while perusing various app settings :nerd_face:

Well if you could simply select your model in the app and look at the settings it already had stored (in a file on your phone perhaps)?
Alternative is to 3D print a simple stand with a little fan inserted and you could switch on and supply some cooler air…

Just seems over kill when a peek at the settings would suffice - I doubt it is much to ask of the UI software writers.

Completely agree.

The drone firmware would need changing to support that too don’t forget.

It would also save you having to re-enter all those settings every time a firmware update reset them back to the defaults too :man_facepalming:t2:

i understand… it’s just like running your car engine whilst to look at all the features for half an hour… just seems there could be a simple answer than getting a fan.

I doubt the ability to program into the software a ‘record of settings’ is a big thing… many software driven things have an ini file. Just musing out loud.

Not so bad for those who have set up their preferences quite some time ago and hardly touch them

There are PLENTY of YT vids that cover all the settings.

Watch those and take a note of what you want to set to what … and that can be done in a minute or two.

Ditto. I’d like to change settings whilst at home (for the day), rather than in field where I struggle with small print especially in bright daylight, and a bit slow so using up precious battery power.

same here. I’d like to breeze through at will rather than make notes and try and remember where it all is…

Just to get familiar with it at leisure.

Me too. Better to familiarise out of the gaze of the Great Unwashed, you look more as if you know what you’re doing. Funny how appearances can decieve…

yes… i’d like to be able to browse at leisure…

regarding appearances … I went out with the drone recently in my grim reaper kit… nothing unusual… and no one mentioned the drone at all!
