I’ve been playing with this on my dslr for a while. Usually using a longish shutter speed while zooming in or out, or rotating the camera body while firing the shutter. The results are pretty hit and miss, but when they hit they can be quite good.
Been trying similar with the mini 2, ie rotating while activating the shutter. But rather annoyingly the drone and gimble do exactly as they’re meant to and produce a sharp picture!!!
Anyone know of any way round this? Apart from breaking or buying anything
One trick is to use ND filter to slow the shutter speed and use fast movement. I don’t think you are able to disable the stabilisation.
The problem is, while rotating the drone in the air, as soon as I press the shutter it stops rotating automatically and then takes the picture. I suppose I could use the video and individual frames?
Does your drone have the Airplane mode (that my old MP has)? That might work?
It has FPV mode that fixes the gimble problem, but the drone still stops spinning to take the shot
Are you trying to do long exposure on the drone while moving / yawing ? Or am I incorrect
Essentially, yes
What about using the time-lapse? Setting it to 1 pic per sec … it can’t stop between each, surely?
Thats an idea to try!
Right just trying to find the video I watched on YT the other day, this I tried last week, when looking at your screen ( for me ) it looks like when your trying to do the crazy manoeuvres and you’ve pressed photo, it looks like the drone has stopped, I thought the same, but when I was watching the map the drone is actually moving with your command,
Here’s a couple of crap pics when I was trying to achieve the same, hope it’s ok for me to post.
I know this isn’t a photo thread so please delete if needed, I’ll try find the video.
Perhaps whilst in FPV mode, too?
Top 2 was yaw, bottom one moving away backwards 8 sec shutter speed
As @OzoneVibe says I think in Fpv mode you will achieve much more creative, I just kept trying different movements, wasn’t expecting anything, just trying to be creative, my theory behind it was, if you can’t get motion blur because the object / objects are still, try it the other way by moving the drone.
