Hi ,
If I just get a SIM card would I be able to phone for just the screen for drone , I don’t need it as a 2nd phone Just for DJI 4K drone
Thanks
Yes it would work no problems
You don’t need a SIM card, if you want data connection use the wifi at home and tether it to your other phone when out and about
I use a WiFi only iPad Mini5 with no SIM - works fine though I do need to be connected to my home WiFi for firmware updates.
If I just put a SIM card and a memory card would that save footage in gallery until I transfer it to laptop like I mentioned I don’t need it for text or phone calls just want to leave it with equipment when not in use .
The sim card is not needed
Do iPhones have an SD card slot
Just take out the SD card from the drone and insert in laptop
No, you’ll need a suitable card reader based on your phone connection port (lightning, usb-c, etc)
eg.
What you need is a micro SD card to put in your drone ( as opposed to a SIM card )
Thanks so much for help
I use a Samsung S21 purely for my drones. No sim, has an SD card slot available but only there as a back up as it has 128gb of storage built in. Would recommend going with android as some automated flying programs will not work with iPhone. I use dronelink and DJI have only released the SDK on android for the mini 3 pro
OP has the 4K DJI so will probably never have the luxury of the SDK
Hi thanks for advice was watching tutorials on YouTube now got me thinking about a tablet 8” screen and again what would be suitable was looking at a 8 inch Android 13 Tablet 2024 Release, 4GB RAM 32GB ROM, 1280x800 HD IPS Eye-Care Touchscreen, 512GB Expandable, 5000mAh Battery, Quad-Core Tablet.
Hi , started to look at a decent 8” tablet while I have some spare money left
